With a week passed since Hurricane Sandy and another storm driving through the East Coast, individuals and organizations across the country are coming to the aid of those who are now in a daily struggle.
The latest of those is Crave Milk, a chocolate milk made by Upstate Niagara Cooperative. The company is sending more than 300 cases of its shelf stable, vitamin-loaded milk to New York City. Bartlett Dairy in Jamaica, NY, will facilitate the donation.
“The scene downstate is unbelievable,” said Ken Voelker, Upstate Niagara’s director of marketing. “Our thoughts go out to all those affected by Hurricane Sandy. Sending out a few hundred cases of Crave is the least we could do.”
